Shis Heritage site showcases rich regional history

Sharjah24: "Shis Heritage" has reopened its doors to visitors, inviting them to explore the rich history of the region following its restoration. Khalid Ahmed Al Shehhi, Director of the Khorfakkan branch of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, emphasised that this site is a key heritage project aimed at benefiting the Shis area and its residents. The site features several heritage buildings, an event theatre, a library, a café, and traditional games for children.

Royal Inauguration Ceremony

Al Shehhi noted that the official opening of "Shis Heritage" was graced by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, along with senior officials and local residents.

Cultural Revival Plan

In an interview with "Sharjah24", Al Shehhi shared that the Sharjah Institute for Heritage has crafted a comprehensive plan to activate and revitalize "Shis Heritage" through various cultural activities, events, and workshops focused on traditional arts.

Facilities and Invitation

Al Shehhi highlighted that the site includes heritage buildings, a library filled with publications from the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, a theatre for traditional performances, and heritage games for children. He encouraged the public to visit the site, enjoy its programs, and experience the region's natural beauty.
