Al Amri stated that the Chinese Festival is among the key initiatives aligned with the club’s mission to strengthen cultural understanding. It reflects the core values of the club and supports Sharjah’s broader goal of promoting cultural exchange with various nations.
She highlighted that China was selected for this year’s edition due to its long-standing history and rich cultural heritage. The festival featured a range of traditional Chinese workshops such as lantern crafting, Chinese calligraphy, and tea ceremonies. In addition, the club’s facilities hosted sessions inspired by Chinese traditions, offering participants an authentic cultural experience.
According to Al Amri, the Sharjah Ladies Club continues its commitment to organizing annual cultural events. The initiative began with the Japanese Festival in 2023, followed by the Korean Festival in 2024, with this year’s focus celebrating Chinese heritage. The event also welcomed an official delegation from the Chinese Consulate in the UAE.
Al Amri concluded by encouraging all women and girls to stay engaged with the club’s programs and take part in these rich cultural events each year, which combine both enjoyment and learning in a vibrant community setting.
