Official visit highlights Academy's global mission
The remarks came during a visit by Consul General Paris and his deputy, Ilhami Gulsen, to the Holy Quran Academy. They were welcomed by His Excellency Dr Eng. Khalifa Musabah Al Tunaiji, President of the Academy; His Excellency Abdullah Khalaf Al-Hosani, Secretary General; and several department heads.
Exploring the Academy's pillars and programmes
During the visit, the delegation toured the Academy’s Quranic museums and received an overview of its core pillars:The Sharjah Global Electronic Quran Recitation Platform, which Provides Quranic certification in various recitations, the Department of Studies and Scientific Research overseeing the Academy’s academic and research work, and the Quranic Museums, which exhibits the evolution of Quranic manuscript writing and the contributions of renowned reciters.
A centre of heritage and cross-cultural dialogue
Jean-Christophe Paris expressed admiration for the Academy’s preservation of rare manuscripts, historic Kaaba textiles, and personal items from iconic reciters such as Sheikh Mohamed Siddiq Al-Minshawi and Sheikh Mahmoud Khalil Al-Hussary.
Recognition of Sharjah’s role in global Islamic education
The Consul General praised His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah for creating an institution that serves as a bridge between civilizations and religious communities. He noted that over 400 students from more than 172 countries visit the Academy annually.

He concluded by thanking the Academy’s leadership and team for their hospitality and commended their outstanding work in promoting Quranic knowledge and intercultural understanding.
