Sharjah24: His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, chaired a meeting at the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority on Thursday.
At the start of the meeting, His Highness welcomed the council members, praising the achievements made by various media institutions in the emirate. He emphasized the importance of continued efforts to align with Sharjah's media vision.

The council discussed several topics related to the media sector in Sharjah, reviewing reports from member organizations and their recent achievements and future plans. They examined a report from the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority that included statistics on local programming and participation in international events.

The meeting also reviewed the report from the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB), highlighting its media coverage efforts at local, regional, and international levels, which enhance the media image of the Sharjah Government.
During Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed tourThe council reviewed a report from Sharjah Media City "Shams," which included updates on its operations and significant growth in licenses and activities for companies that have joined the business community there. This includes a wide range of advanced services such as training and workshops to support media entrepreneurs. The report also outlined various events and activities organised by Sharjah Media City in the recent past.

The meeting examined the report from the General Secretariat of the Sharjah Media Council, which discussed the Executive Council's decision regarding the organisation of media activities in the emirate, contributing to comprehensive and sustainable regulation of these activities and supporting the council's work in achieving its media objectives across various specialisations.

On the sidelines of the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi reviewed the latest outside broadcasting vehicles of the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, equipped with the best technologies and equipment in the region. These vehicles are the longest at 14 meters in length and 4.2 meters in height, expandable to a width of 4 meters and accommodating up to 16 people. This supports media work by providing all necessary systems and technologies to enable teams to highlight and cover events, offering an advanced and flexible broadcasting experience.
On the sideline of the meetingHis Highness learned about the operational systems included in the broadcasting vehicle, which features the latest audio, video, and mixing systems, representing a pioneering step in utilising advanced broadcasting technologies while ensuring the best and fastest outputs. He listened to a detailed explanation about training and qualifying staff to keep pace with modern media technologies.

His Highness also reviewed the diverse fleet of outside broadcasting vehicles belonging to the authority, which contribute to live coverage of various events in Sharjah, achieving over 1,000 broadcasts annually.

He took a commemorative photo with the team from the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, including officials, engineers, and technicians specialising in outside broadcasting, commending their efforts in exceptional media coverage that highlights Sharjah's achievements across various fields.

Attendees at the meeting included Mohamed Hassan Khalaf, Director General of the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority; Tariq Saeed Allay, Director General of SGMB; Rashid Abdullah Al Obad, Director General of Sharjah Media City "Shams"; Salem Ali Al Ghaithi, Director of the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority; Alia Bu Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Director of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB); and Hessa Abdullah Al Hamadi, Assistant Secretary General of the Sharjah Media Council.
