Sharjah 24: His Excellency Major General Abdullah Mubarak Bin Amer, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, honoured the Air Wing Management team at the Ministry of Interior’s General Directorate of Security Support on Wednesday morning. The recognition comes in appreciation of the Air Wing’s critical role in ensuring security, safety, and a high level of emergency readiness.

Acknowledging excellence in emergency preparedness

Major General Bin Amer highlighted that the Air Wing’s professionalism and coordination have significantly contributed to enhancing police capabilities, particularly in crises, emergencies, and disaster response. He noted their swift interventions have been instrumental in saving lives and maintaining public safety.

Attendance of senior officials

The ceremony was attended by a number of high-ranking officials, including Brigadier General Ahmed Haji Al Serkal, Director General of Community Prevention and Protection; Brigadier General Abdullah Ibrahim bin Nassar, Director General of Resources and Support Services; Brigadier Dr Ahmed Saeed Al Naour, Director General of Operations and Security Support; Brigadier Ibrahim Musabah Al Ajil, Director General of Comprehensive Police Stations; Brigadier Omar Ahmed Bu Al Zoud, Director General of Criminal Security and Ports; Brigadier Dr Mohammed Khamis Al Othmani, Director General of Sharjah Academy for Police Sciences; Brigadier Dr Saeed Gharib Al Mazrouei, Director of the Air Wing Department

Also in attendance were pilots, navigators, paramedics from the Air Wing Department, and specialists from Sharjah Police.

Appreciation for professional commitment

During the event, Major General Bin Amer praised the Air Wing’s vital support in police operations and emergency responses. The honoured team members expressed their appreciation for the recognition and reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining high standards of performance, contributing to the broader goals of the Ministry of Interior and Sharjah Police in ensuring public well-being and safety.
