Sharjah 24: The second round of the second UAE World Arabian Horse Championship will begin tomorrow, Thursday, at the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club in the Kingdom of Bahrain. This leg of the championship will feature 10 rounds of competition.

Under the patronage of UAE leadership

The championship is held under the patronage and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Presidential Court, and Chairman of the Emirates Arabian Horse Society. It is also overseen by Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman of the Society.

Championship format and global scope

The Bahrain leg marks the second of 10 rounds that span various continents. Building on the success of the first edition, this year’s series has added new locations to expand its global reach and engage more Arabian horse owners and breeders.

Competition categories in Bahrain

The Bahrain event will take place over two days, featuring classes for:

  • Yearling colts and fillies
  • 2- and 3-year-old colts and fillies
  • Mares and stallions

The Kingdom previously hosted the second leg of the first edition in March 2024, which saw strong competition among prominent international studs and stables.

The Emirates World Cup series underscores the UAE’s commitment to supporting Arabian horse breeders and owners worldwide. It reinforces the nation’s leading role in preserving and promoting Arabian horse heritage on the global stage.

  • Australia: January 31 – February 2
  • Bahrain: April 2025
  • Morocco: May 9–11
  • China: July 17
  • Oman: August 1
  • Poland: August 8
  • Belgium: August 30
  • USA: September 11
  • Argentina: September 18
  • Italy (Final Round): November 8
