SEWA completes six lighting projects in central region

Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) has finalised six lighting projects across the central region during the first quarter of 2025. The works included the installation of 1,175 new lighting poles and 1,591 energy-efficient floodlights and lamps, at a total cost of AED 11 million.

Major projects enhance Al Dhaid and Mleiha areas

 

Engineer Khalifa Mohammed Al Tunaiji, Director of the Central Region Department at SEWA, stated that all lighting projects were executed in line with the highest standards. The projects completed in the first quarter of 2025 included the second phase of lighting in Sha'biyat Al Hisn, Al Dhaid; the installation of lighting at the Al Dhaid camel race roundabout; the development of lighting in Sha'biyat Jabal Omar, Al Dhaid; the second phase of lighting in Sha'biyat Al Siouh, Al Dhaid; the illumination of cow farms in Mleiha; and the enhancement of lighting in Sha'biyat Jabal Omar.

 

Al Tunaiji emphasised that the authority is committed to delivering outstanding services to support development and tourism initiatives. He highlighted that implementing lighting projects in various areas is crucial for promoting security, safety, and a refined and attractive urban appearance.
