Sharjah 24 – AFP: Celtic secured their fourth straight Scottish Premiership championship with a dominant 5-0 win over Dundee United in Round 34 on Saturday.

Five-goal thriller seals the title

The goals came from a mix of contributors, including an own goal by Ryan Strain (30'), a brace from German winger Nicolas-Gerrit Kühn (38', 45+3'), and two goals from Irish substitute Adam Idah (47', 58').

Celtic’s ongoing domestic dominance

This marks Celtic’s 13th Premiership title in 14 seasons. The team has now won 21 of the last 26 domestic league titles, underlining their long-standing dominance in Scottish football.

Rodgers adds another trophy to his collection

Manager Brendan Rodgers, in his second stint with the club, has now claimed 11 trophies with Celtic since returning in 2023. He previously led the team from 2016 to 2019.

Rodgers eyes more records

“It’s important to maintain motivation and hunger at this stage of the season,” said Rodgers. “We know what we want to achieve and the records we want to break.”

Treble within reach

Celtic, who also won the League Cup in December, are on course for a historic treble. They will face Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup final on May 24, aiming for their sixth treble in nine seasons—and a third under Rodgers.
