This year’s fair stood out for its sheer scale and diversity, with organisations representing a broad spectrum of industries across the United Arab Emirates. The fair offered a golden opportunity for students and recent graduates to engage directly with prospective employers, explore a wealth of internship and job openings, and gain a firsthand understanding of the labor market.
The primary aim of the fair was to bridge the gap between academia and the professional world by fostering meaningful connections between the University’s talent pool and the nation’s top employers. The event provided a vibrant, interactive platform for companies to scout emerging talent and for students to grasp the evolving demands of the job market, including the most sought-after specialisations. Attendees were able to apply for a multitude of positions tailored to diverse academic backgrounds, while also participating in on-the-spot interviews in dedicated rooms set up for direct recruitment.
In a nod to digital innovation, the CASTO implemented an advanced online registration system, streamlining the application process and allowing candidates to target opportunities that aligned with their interests and fields of study. Rana Qabbani, Head of the Career Advancement and Student Training Office described the fair as a vital bridge linking the University’s graduates and students to the wider world of work. “We are immensely proud of the overwhelming response from both our students and participating organisations this year,” she said. “Our focus has been on cultivating an interactive environment where students can discover new opportunities and build valuable professional networks, while employers gain access to the exceptional talent emerging from the University of Sharjah.”
