The event featured performances by three distinguished poets: Khadija Al-Tayeb, Michel Al-Eid, and Heba Al-Fiqi. Also in attendance was poet Mohammed Abdullah Al-Buraiki, Director of the House of Poetry, alongside a large audience of poetry lovers, fellow poets, critics, and media professionals who filled the theatre and enthusiastically engaged with the recitations through applause and encouragement.
Professor Hamada Abdel Latif, who warmly welcomed the audience and expressed his gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his unwavering support of culture and the arts, presented the evening. He praised the House of Poetry for its role in fostering a culture of creativity and beauty, saying, “This house has become more than just a place — it is a beacon of creative brilliance and a living embodiment of poetry, whose resonance echoes far beyond its walls.”
At the conclusion of the evening, poet Mohammed Al-Buraiki honoured the participating poets, the evening’s presenter, and several members of the “Art of Recitation and Theatrical Poetry” workshop, presenting them with certificates of appreciation.
