In a statement to “Sharjah 24,” Al Tunaiji highlighted that the festival stands as one of the Emirate’s key cultural platforms dedicated to discovering student talent and nurturing their creative abilities in acting, directing, and playwriting. The programme features two full days of performances—six each day—followed by a closing ceremony on the third day, which includes the announcement of results and recognition of the winning schools.
He noted that this year’s edition is marked by vibrant artistic energy, showcasing a rich variety of theatrical scripts and directorial styles, alongside a strong turnout from students and parents—reflecting growing community engagement and the festival’s role in fostering a theatrical culture within schools.
Al Tunaiji also emphasised that the festival goes beyond entertainment or competition; it aims to establish theatre as an educational and developmental tool that complements the curriculum and encourages free student expression in a supportive and creative environment.
