Sharjah24: As part of its Eid Al-Fitr festivities, Sharjah Children—an affiliate of Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators—organised the event “Joy at Sharjah Children”, which saw the participation of 882 children from its centres, along with a number of parents and representatives from various community organisations. The event provided a rich and engaging experience designed to strengthen national identity and promote meaningful social interaction.
Throughout the event, children were introduced to traditional Emirati customs associated with Eid, such as henna application and wearing heritage clothing, which deepened their connection to the local culture in an enjoyable and hands-on way.
The celebration drew a large turnout of children who took part in a wide array of recreational and educational activities held in a joyful and lively atmosphere. Among the highlights were cultural quizzes and creative workshops, including “Design Your Eid Outfit”, where children illustrated their Eid clothing, as well as a face painting workshop that added an extra layer of excitement.
At the end of the event, gifts and sweets were distributed to children across all centres of the organisation, adding to the festive spirit and sense of joy.
Sharjah Children aims, through such initiatives, to bring happiness to children, encourage their active engagement with the community, develop their diverse skills, and reinforce national values—all within a vibrant and celebratory environment.
