Sharjah 24: Sharjah Police General Command recently announced that their security plan for the Eid Al-Fitr holiday was a success. This plan made sure that all areas of Sharjah, including both central and eastern parts, were safe during the celebrations. The initiative is part of their effort to keep the community secure during important occasions.

Brigadier Dr. Jassim Mohammed bin Hadda, Director of Operations Center, shared that the police worked hard to ensure the center was ready to handle emergency calls and reports. During the Eid holiday, they received a total of 39,765 calls. This included 33,040 emergency calls made to the number 999 and 6,725 non-emergency calls to the number 901. These numbers show that the response system was effective and ready to assist people during the busy holiday period.

Bin Hadda emphasized that these efforts are part of the Sharjah Police's yearly plans aimed at improving their response to emergencies and providing top-notch security services. Their personnel were well-prepared to handle the high volume of reports and maintain a fast-paced response throughout the 24-hour working environment.

Additionally, Colonel Mohammed Abdullah Allay, who leads the Traffic and Patrols Department, explained that a special traffic plan was put in place for Eid. This plan involved positioning police and traffic patrols in key areas across the emirate, including busy roads and popular gathering spots, and reminding drivers to follow safety guidelines to ensure everyone's well-being.

He noted that the visible presence of traffic police helped keep traffic moving smoothly and allowed them to quickly manage any accidents, making sure that people had a safe and enjoyable experience during the Eid holidays.
