Sharjah wins UAE Basketball Federation Cup for 3rd time

Sharjah 24: Sharjah's basketball team won the UAE Basketball Federation Open Cup for the third time in its history with a thrilling 108-106 victory over Shabab Al Ahli in the final on Thursday at Sharjah Sports Club. The game had concluded in a 92-92 tie in regular time.

Trophy presentation

The championship trophy was presented to Sharjah by Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, along with Major General Ismail Al Gergawi, President of the UAE and Arab Basketball Federations; Khalid Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Sports Club; and Mohammed Obaid Al Hosani, Board Member of Sharjah Sports Club and Head of the Club's Team Sports Department.
