Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Department of Public Works has successfully completed the maintenance and enhancement of four Eid prayer halls in Khorfakkan, as part of its commitment to improving religious infrastructure. The project aims to provide well-equipped and comfortable facilities that enhance the experience for worshippers during their religious practices, in line with the rapid urban development taking place across the emirate.

The works carried out included the upgrading of Eid prayer halls in the Yarmouk, Al-Musalla, Al-Louluya, and Al-Zubara areas. These enhancements were designed to create a more suitable environment for worshippers during religious occasions, especially during Eid prayers. Notable upgrades in Yarmouk included the refurbishment of the prayer area, covering 2,000 square metres, along with the retiling of the hall’s entire surface and the replacement of gates, in addition to enhancing electrical and sound systems. Similarly, the other prayer halls received significant improvements, including the installation of new features like prayer niches, sound systems, and better access points. These projects are part of Sharjah’s broader vision to provide high-quality religious facilities, ensuring a comfortable atmosphere for worshippers while promoting the growth of its religious infrastructure.
