50 arabists join Civilisational Culture event by SL

Sharjah24: Ghaith Hassan Al Hosani, the Event Coordinator at Khorfakkan Public Library, announced that approximately 50 Arabists took part in the "Civilisational Culture" event, which was organised by Sharjah Libraries in both Kalba and Khorfakkan. The event took place as part of the centennial founding celebrations

Library-Led Celebration

Sharjah Libraries hosted the event on Friday, titled "Civilisational Culture," with the attendance of about 50 arabists. The celebration marked the 100th anniversary of the founding of Sharjah Libraries and was attended by Eman Bushulaibi, Director of Sharjah Public Libraries.

Cultural Tour Included

Al Hosani stated that the event included an introductory tour of the libraries in the Eastern Region cities, along with several of their cultural and touristic landmarks. The aim was to highlight the educational and cultural assets of the area.

Exploring the Enduring Legacy of Sharjah Libraries

In remarks to “Sharjah24”, he noted that participants gained insights into the beginnings and establishment of Sharjah Libraries, founded a century ago, and their major contribution to the advancement and enrichment of culture in the United Arab Emirates.

Dialogue and Discussion

Al Hosani explained that the event, which began at Kalba Public Library, also included a discussion session in Khorfakkan’s heritage area. Arabist Anastasia Ostrakhova spoke during the session, shedding light on efforts to promote the Arabic language within Russian civilization.
