The initiative aims to uphold Ramadan traditions and strengthen family bonds by offering light meals that enhance the festive atmosphere. These meals are distributed at different times throughout the month, ensuring they reach as many deserving families as possible. SSEF remains committed to reinforcing social ties and fostering a sense of togetherness.
Mona bin Hadda Al-Suwaidi, Director-General of SSEF, stated: "At SSEF, we are dedicated to launching meaningful initiatives that meet the needs of our members, especially during Ramadan, a time that encourages community connection. ‘Ghabgatkum Alayna’ is part of the ‘Zakki’ campaign, reinforcing social solidarity and a culture of giving, bringing joy to underprivileged families."
She added that the Ramadan Ghabga is an integral part of the region’s cultural heritage, symbolising generosity and hospitality while strengthening social bonds. The term "Ghabga" refers to post-Taraweeh prayer gatherings in several Gulf and Arab countries, where families and friends come together over light meals. This initiative seeks to engage families and promote social interaction.
Al-Suwaidi emphasised that the "Zakki" Ramadan campaign is one of SSEF’s most significant annual initiatives, providing economic empowerment projects, social programmes, and charitable initiatives that reinforce community cohesion and the values of generosity and compassion.
SSEF continues to work towards creating a supportive environment for its members, offering holistic care to empower them in every aspect, ensuring a brighter future and a dignified life.
