Sharjah 24: Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) continues its tireless efforts to expand the natural gas network in various areas of the emirate, as the authority has completed 100% of the second phase of the network extension project in Al Sajaa, with a length of 29 kilometres, which will enable 683 new beneficiaries to obtain the service.
The cost of the project exceeded 3 million dirhams, as part of the authority's commitment to providing advanced infrastructure that meets the needs of residents and various projects.

Enhancing the quality of life

Engineer Ibrahim Al Balgouni, Director of the Natural Gas Department at SEWA, confirmed that the implementation of natural gas projects is carried out according to the highest technical standards, with a focus on expanding the network to cover various areas, which contributes to enhancing the quality of life and providing sustainable and safe services to the residents of the emirate.

Al Balgouni pointed out that the natural gas network in Al Sajaa area will contribute to providing advanced services to beneficiaries in the region, as the network and pumping stations were designed according to the latest international specifications, taking into account the highest standards of safety and security. 

Al Balgouni also explained that SEWA is continuing to conduct the necessary studies to expand the network in the city of Sharjah and the eastern regions, such as Kalba and Khorfakkan, in addition to the central region, to ensure that natural gas reaches all areas and new urban expansions.

Al Balgouni added that the number of subscribers to natural gas services in the Emirate of Sharjah is seeing a continuous increase, due to the many advantages it provides compared to using liquefied gas cylinders, as it is available around the clock, in addition to being safer and more environmentally friendly, in addition to its competitive prices.

Providing sustainable and advanced services to Sharjah community

Al Balgouni also stressed that the Authority has worked to facilitate the necessary procedures to enable subscribers to benefit from the natural gas network services, while the work teams continue their efforts to ensure that this vital service reaches all beneficiaries, and to achieve the maximum possible benefit from the advantages of natural gas, which contributes to achieving the Authority's vision towards providing sustainable and advanced services to Sharjah community.
