Sharjah24: In line with an annual tradition, the Municipal Council of Dibba Al-Hisn and the Dibba Al-Hisn Municipality organised the "Community Iftar Initiative" for all residents of the virtuous city, celebrating the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan. This initiative aims to strengthen community ties and communication, bringing together a large number of officials and residents from various age and social groups.
Purpose of the initiative
The organisation of this Ramadan initiative is in accordance with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. The initiative seeks to instill values of goodness, generosity, and solidarity among the residents of the emirate, and to foster an environment of communication, cooperation, and tolerance, especially during this holy month. It also aims to break down barriers among residents and contribute to making Dibba Al-Hisn "one united family."
A shared Iftar experience
All residents enjoyed the Ramadan atmosphere, sharing their iftar meal at a communal table, reminiscent of a large family gathering. The setting was filled with love and brotherhood.

In this context, His Excellency Ahmed Abdullah bin Yaroof Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Municipal Council of Dibba Al-Hisn, stated: “Dibba Al-Hisn is keen to organise a community iftar annually during the holy month to enhance communication, renew brotherly relations, and foster affection among residents in a family-like atmosphere that reinforces the concept of social cohesion.”
On his part, His Excellency Taleb Abdullah Al Yahyai, Director of Dibba Al-Hisn Municipality, confirmed that the organisation of the community iftar initiative falls within the municipality's social responsibility. It aims to enhance brotherhood among the residents of this virtuous city, characterised by gathering all residents at a single table, thereby promoting communication in a familial environment filled with love and unity during this blessed month.
Cultural significance
The "Community Iftar Initiative" aims to revive the traditional customs and heritage passed down through generations, as well as spend time during Ramadan identifying citizens' needs and exchanging opinions and suggestions that benefit the virtuous city and enhance public services in Dibba Al-Hisn.
Women's Day Celebration
Coinciding with International Women's Day, the Dibba Al-Hisn Municipality organized a Ramadan iftar for all female employees to enhance communication and love among them. The municipality hosted a selection of pioneering Emirati women in their fields for inspiring dialogue sessions, showcasing their successful and distinguished experiences.
