Sharjah24: Toulouse snatched a positive equalizer, drawing 1-1 against Monaco in the opening match of the twenty-fifth round of Ligue 1.
Monaco fell into the trap of a last-minute equalizer from their hosts Toulouse, resulting in a 1-1 draw in the opening of the twenty-fifth round of Ligue 1.

Early goal by Monaco
Monaco took an early lead through attacking midfielder Takumi Minamino, who scored after a deceptive pass from Maghnes Akliouche. The Japanese player found the net with his left foot from close range in the 17th minute, marking his fourth goal in the league this season.

Minamino's contract extension
Minamino, 30 years old, extended his contract with Monaco for an additional season until June 2027 just three days prior to the match. He joined Monaco in the summer of 2022 from Liverpool for €15 million.

Toulouse's late equalizer
Toulouse, still searching for their first home win of the year, equalized in the first minute of stoppage time in the second half. They capitalized on a defensive error, with Cameroonian Frank Magri converting successfully, marking his third goal in the league this season.

Monaco's struggles
Monaco failed to secure three points away from home for the fifth consecutive match, suffering three defeats and two draws. Their last victory outside their home ground was on December 22, 2024, when they defeated amateur side Union 4-1 in the Round of 32 of the French Cup.

Current standings
The club from the principality is now under threat from fifth-placed Lille, who host Montpellier today, while coach Adof Hütter's men could fall further behind third-placed Nice, who host Lyon on Sunday, and second-placed Marseille, who welcome Lens on Saturday.

Monaco, who had previously defeated Reims 3-0 in the last round, now sits at 44 points in fourth place, while Toulouse, having won against Le Havre 4-1 and Angers 4-0 in the last two rounds, remains in eighth place with 34 points.
