Sharjah24: Manchester City continued to lose points in the Premier League after their 0-1 defeat against Nottingham Forest in the 28th round.
Returning to a series of fluctuating results, the defending champions suffered their first loss to Nottingham Forest since 1997 in the Premier League, falling four points behind their hosts in third place.
At the City Ground, Callum Hudson-Odoi scored the only goal of the match for Forest in the 83rd minute, bringing the team closer to qualifying for the Champions League, now just three points behind second-placed Arsenal, who visit Manchester United on Sunday.
On the other hand, City's fourth place, after being champions for the last four seasons, is in jeopardy, as fifth-placed Chelsea is only one point behind and hosts bottom-placed Leicester City on Sunday.
This marks City's third loss in six league matches, alongside three victories.
