Sharjah Environment honours winners of ‘My Green Environment’

Sharjah24: Fatima Al Zaabi, Director of the Biodiversity Department at the Sharjah Environment and Protected Areas Authority, announced the conclusion of the "My Green Environment, My Future" initiative, held for the second year in a row. The initiative saw the participation of 103 public and private schools from various regions and cities across the UAE, with the aim of encouraging students to innovate and develop solutions for a sustainable future.

Fatima Al Zaabi also confirmed that the winners of the initiative, launched in October, were honoured at a ceremony held at Sharjah Safari. The event was attended by His Excellency Hana Saif Al Suwaidi, Head of the Authority, along with a number of officials and representatives from the winning schools and educational institutions.

Al Zaabi shared with Sharjah 24 that the initiative aimed to strengthen students' involvement in environmental work, promoting it as a societal culture while encouraging creativity in developing solutions that benefit the community.
