Sharjah24: The Diba Al-Hisn Sports Club hosted the Sharjah Sports Excellence Award Committee last night, organised by the Sharjah Sports Council, to explain the award's criteria, categories, and the submission process. The event was attended by His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Mutawa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Diba Al-Hisn Sports and Cultural Club, and His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Al-Turbaan Al-Hamoodi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Diba Al-Hisn Football Club, along with members of both the club and company boards.
Encouraging excellence in sport At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Al-Mutawa praised the initiative by the Sharjah Sports Council, affirming that the award is an ideal platform for recognising excellence in the sports field. He noted that it encourages distinction and leadership, contributing to the enhancement of creativity and innovation in the sports and cultural sectors. He also highlighted that such initiatives foster excellence and have a positive impact on various sports fields, serving as a driving force for continuous development. Abdullah Hussein Al-Ali and Hani Al-Qassim explained the award details, focusing on the application procedures, criteria, programme objectives, categories, and eligibility conditions. The deadline for submissions is 30 April 2025, with results to be announced in June 2025.
