The forum brought together government leaders, representatives of various entities, strategic partners, and officials. It featured various segments highlighting achievements in human resources within Sharjah. The event opened with a welcome speech, emphasising its significance for enhancing government efficiency, achieving sustainable development in the emirate, and celebrating achievements while exploring the future of human resources.
Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi, Chairman of the department, stressed in his speech the importance of investing in human capital. He noted that under the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, human resources have become a central focus. Empowerment and development are now key pillars in ensuring institutional sustainability and enhancing government competitiveness.
The forum included a presentation showcasing the department’s most notable achievements. An honouring ceremony for strategic partners and supporting entities that contributed to the success of human resources initiatives in the emirate followed. Additionally, the emirate held an achievements exhibition, showcasing pioneering projects and initiatives that have influenced government performance. The exhibition showcased best practices and innovative technologies, providing an opportunity to inspire new ideas and strengthen collaboration between partners in the sector.
There were also two special panel discussions. The first session, led by Dr. Engineer Khalifa Musabeh Ahmed Alteneiji is the Chairman of the Department of Agriculture and Livestock in Sharjah and CEO of Sharjah Agricultural and Livestock Production EST (Ektifa), focused on the role of food security in the sustainability of human resources. He discussed Sharjah’s efforts in achieving organic food security, in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi.
The second session was presented by Hassan Abdullah Al Balghouni, head of corporate communications at Sharjah Islamic Bank, and Mohammed Al Ketbi, branch manager at the bank’s Sharjah Airport Free Zone branch. The session introduced the Zood card, a financial product designed specifically for government employees. The speakers highlighted the importance of adopting policies that support employee well-being to ensure a more sustainable and productive work environment. They also explained the card’s various benefits and incentives.
