Sharjah24: Al Thiqah Club for the Disabled participated in the activities of Sharjah Heritage Days, within the Sharjah Sports Council pavilion, through a series of activities and events that shed light on authentic Emirati heritage.

Showcasing tradition and art

The Club's participation included providing a heritage exhibition reflecting the details of the old Emirati house with all its components, alongside heritage cultural competitions aimed at introducing participants and visitors to Emirati customs and traditions, as well as displaying Islamic drawings and decorations embodying the aesthetics of Islamic art.

Reinforcing national values

Dr. Khaled Omar Al-Midfa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Thiqah Club for the Disabled, affirmed that the Club's participation in this heritage event comes within the framework of its keenness to enhance national identity and consolidate cultural values among its members. He pointed out that the Club works to integrate people with disabilities into society by familiarizing them with the history and culture of the United Arab Emirates, and enabling them to participate effectively in various community activities.

Enriching experiences and awareness

He added that the Club always strives to provide rich interactive experiences for its members, noting that these events enhance their awareness of the history and ancient heritage of the Emirates. The Club's participation in Sharjah Heritage Days is part of its strategy aimed at enhancing its sporting and community role in spreading national culture, and achieving community integration for people with disabilities through various activities.
