Sharjah24: According to Dr. Eng. Mohsen Ali Balwan, Director of Traffic Engineering at Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA), has announced that the new device uses advanced sensor and data analysis technology. The system enhances traffic efficiency, enabling emergency vehicles like ambulances, civil defense units, and police to arrive at accident scenes more quickly by giving them priority at traffic signals.

The Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) has announced its participation in UAE Innovation Month 2025 with the introduction of the Rapid Response Device for Emergency Vehicles. This smart traffic system aims to reduce emergency response time and enhance road safety.

Enhancing Traffic Management

Dr. Eng. Mohsen Ali Balwan highlighted that the device signifies a significant leap forward in traffic management, facilitating real-time analysis and smart traffic control. The system significantly contributes to saving lives and mitigating damage from accidents by minimizing delays.

AI-Powered Infrastructure

He also highlighted SRTA's dedication to improving the traffic system, aligning with Sharjah’s vision for a smart infrastructure that leverages artificial intelligence and advanced technologies to boost overall traffic efficiency.
