Sharjah24: Dr. Hashim Abdullah Sarhan Al Zaabi, Director of the Sharjah Maritime Academy (SMA) , announced the participation of a select group of researchers and specialists from various global universities and institutions in the first international conference on maritime education and training, which was inaugurated by the academy on Monday and will run for two days.
On Monday, the first international conference on maritime education, training, and scientific research commenced at the Sharjah Maritime Academy in Khorfakkan. Dr. Hashim Abdullah Sarhan Al Zaabi stated that the conference features distinguished researchers and specialists from various maritime fields, representing prestigious universities and institutions with extensive experience.
Focus of the conference
In statements to "Sharjah 24," Al Zaabi highlighted that the conference will showcase the latest developments and scientific advancements in the maritime transport sector, including academic programmes in maritime colleges and new technologies in shipping and supply chain operations. The aim is to exchange experiences, enhance the knowledge of academy students, and develop their skills and capabilities.
