Enhancing children’s participation in parliamentary Life
This session focuses on encouraging Arab children's involvement in parliamentary processes, helping them develop skills in dialogue and decision-making. The aim is to cultivate an informed generation capable of contributing to society's future.
Delegates express excitement and gratitude
Children arriving from various Arab nations expressed their excitement to be in the UAE and their pride in participating in this significant event. They also praised the warm hospitality and support they received, viewing the event as a valuable opportunity to exchange cultures and enhance their skills.
Preparations and plans for the session
Ayman Othman Al-Barout, Secretary-General of the Parliament, highlighted the extensive efforts made to welcome the delegations. Preparations include the election of the Speaker of Parliament and the heads of committees. Additionally, a tourism programme has been organised to introduce children to Sharjah's cultural landmarks and heritage.
Leadership training and educational programmes
In cooperation with the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation, a training programme will focus on developing leadership, teamwork, and creativity skills among the children. The University of Sharjah will also launch the Arab Children’s Parliament Diploma, which aims to enhance parliamentary education for young participants.
Final preparations for a successful session
The organising teams continue to work diligently on finalising arrangements, including technical requirements and election preparations. Educational and entertainment activities will also be provided to ensure a memorable and enriching parliamentary experience for the children.
