Sharjah delegation reviews Bahrain’s experience in serving Quran

Sharjah 24: A delegation from the Holy Quran Academy and the Holy Quran Radio and Channel, affiliated with Sharjah Broadcasting Authority (SBA), visited a number of institutions interested in the Holy Quran and its sciences in Bahrain to learn about the best practices, and discuss opportunities for cooperation and exchange of expertise.

The delegation included His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Khalaf Al Hosani, Secretary General of the Holy Quran Academy; His Excellency Khalifa Hassan Khalaf, Director of the Holy Quran Radio and Channel; Dr. Faisal Al Suwaidi, Director of the Museums and Corporate Communication and Marketing Departments; Hassan Ibrahim Al Hosani, Director of the Programmes Department of the Holy Quran Radio and Channel; Abdullah Yousef Al Ali, Head of the Television Programmes Evaluation Department; and Salem Ali Thani, Head of the Public Relations Department at the Holy Quran Academy.

The visit schedule, which came within the framework of cooperation and coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the UAE and SBA, included a number of institutions interested in Quranic affairs, including: the Bahraini House of Quran, the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Ahmed Al Fateh Mosque, the Bahrain Grand Prize for the Holy Quran, the His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa Quran Award, the headquarters of the World Reciter Competition, the Institute of Readings and Preparation of Quran Teachers, and the Endowments Department.

Exchanging knowledge

Dr. Abdullah Khalaf Al Hosani stressed that the visit comes within the framework of the Academy’s keenness to communicate to exchange knowledge and expertise with institutions interested in the Holy Quran, and to learn about the experiences that apply the best practices in serving the Book of Allah.

Al Hosani added that such visits represent an important step to enhance and activate cooperation in serving the Holy Quran and its sciences, noting that the academy looks forward to them yielding promising opportunities that contribute to achieving common goals in conveying the Quranic knowledge legacy. He expressed his happiness and pride in the successes achieved by Bahraini institutions that have established their scientific, historical and civilizational status.

Importance of joint cooperation

For his part, Khalifa Hassan Khalaf said that SBA seeks to enhance joint cooperation between local and Gulf institutions, to highlight the pioneering role of these institutions interested in serving the Holy Quran, its sciences and its notables. He added that joint cooperation will shed light on these great efforts in serving the Book of Allah, and to confirm the pioneering role of media in conveying this cognitive and civilizational legacy to the world, in addition to highlighting Sharjah’s cognitive and cultural role, as a result of the insightful vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, who attaches great importance to spreading the sciences and teachings of the Holy Quran, and renewing the commitment to continue cooperation and coordination, to support all Quranic projects.
