Enhancing awareness and skills

Led by Major General Abdullah Saeed Al Suwaidi, participants explored the desert environment, learning key skills like safe camping, map orientation, and survival tactics. They also studied desert wildlife and plants, gaining an understanding of the ecosystem’s balance and environmental sustainability.

Practical workshops on desert survival

The event featured practical workshops focused on desert survival, including first aid, locating water sources, and adapting to harsh conditions. Scouts gained hands-on experience, enhancing their self-reliance and environmental awareness.

Promoting teamwork and cooperation

A traditional scout cooking experience highlighted teamwork and cooperation. Scouts from various teams worked together, further reinforcing the values of collaboration in a real-world setting.

Empowering youth for a sustainable future

Al Suwaidi emphasized the educational role of scouting in shaping responsible, adventure-driven youth. This initiative supports the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah aiming to nurture a generation capable of facing challenges.

Life skills workshops

In addition to the desert activities, scouts participated in workshops on life skills, including communication, critical thinking, time management, and teamwork. These interactive sessions allowed participants to develop practical skills for modern life, boosting their self-confidence and decision-making abilities. The workshops aim to prepare scouts for a sustainable future by empowering them with necessary life skills.
