Sharjah 24: Within the framework of the Tuesday Forum, which opens a new horizon for creativity in every poetry event, the House of Poetry at the Department of Culture in Sharjah organised, on Tuesday, a poetry evening, in which poet Jaafar Hamdi Ahmed, Dr. Khalifa Bujadi, and poet Omar Al Maqdi participated.

The evening was attended by His Excellency Abdullah Al Owais, Chairman of the Department of Culture; Muhammad Abdullah Al Buraiki, Director of the House of Poetry; and a number of poets, critics, researchers and poetry fans.

Introduction by Dr. Ahmed Saad El Din
The evening was introduced by Dr. Ahmed Saad El Din, who welcomed the attendees, thanking His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his interest in Arab culture, making Sharjah the capital of culture and creativity, and making the House of Poetry a home for poets.

Dr. Ahmed Saad El Din added in his opening speech that “Poetry is the language of the soul, the voice of the heart, and the window that overlooks our inner worlds.”

Poetry readings
The readings were opened by the poet Jaafar Hamdi Ahmed, whose poems were adorned with deep poetic connotations and images. He roamed with his words between his emotional states and his humanitarian issues, and depicted in a transparent language the visions, thoughts and feelings that were stirring in his chest.

Dr. Khalifa Boujadi read a text entitled "Spilling Sand and Stones", which revolved around remembering life and what has passed. Then he read another poem mourning his mother, and the pain, bitterness and orphanhood that her loss leaves behind.

The readings were concluded by the poet Omar Hussein Al Maqdi, whose text entitled "Transparent Porcelain" was an artistic painting, in which the colours of delicate meanings intertwine with the power of eloquence and the breadth of the linguistic dictionary.

Conclusion
In conclusion, Abdullah Al Owais, in the presence of the poet Mohammed Al Buraiki, honoured the participants in the evening.
