Sharjah 24: As part of its commitment to implementing the highest standards of health safety in livestock markets, a delegation from Sharjah Asset Management holding (SAMH) participated in a seminar entitled "One Health Strategy for Emerging Infectious Diseases", organised by Al Dhaid University.

The seminar aims at learning about the latest global practices in the field of preventing infectious animal diseases and enhancing the safety of livestock.

The delegation included Eng. Abdullah Al Shamsi, Director of Sharjah City Markets; Hilal Al Naqbi, Director of Eastern Region Markets; and Tariq Ghamis, Slaughterhouse Supervisor.

Strategies for monitoring infectious diseases in livestock markets

The seminar provided the delegation with the opportunity to learn about modern strategies for monitoring infectious diseases in livestock markets, and the role of integration between human and animal health in enhancing food and health security.

Adopting the best practices in the fields of veterinary prevention

This participation comes within the framework of SAMH commitment to developing a healthy and safe environment in the livestock markets it manages, by adopting the best practices in the fields of veterinary prevention, and applying strict health standards to ensure the safety of animals and customers alike.
