Sharjah24: Sharjah Economic Development Department has once again passed the procedures for the periodic review visit of the international accreditation of PAS 7070: 2016 Benchmarking Management Certificate. According to the report issued by the concerned authority, as well as the results of the audit showed the Department's full commitment to the requirements of the administrative system that is compatible with the aforementioned standard, it was recommended to continue granting the ISO certificate according to the scope of application.
Such thing reflects SEDD’s commitment to international quality standards, and its keenness to continuously improve the levels and mechanisms of providing its services to all customers in accordance with the best international standards. This confirms SEDD’s success in continuously developing the standards of efficiency of its services, and bringing them to the highest levels, with the aim of achieving its mission and vision in attaining sustainable economic development and reaching quality in practices through developing administrative work systems and adopting the best global practices and standards that ensure the provision of distinguished services with quality and effectiveness.
Commenting on that, Dr. Ahmed Ali Al Ali, Deputy Director of Strategic Planning and Performance Department at SEDD, said that passing the periodic review of ISO PAS 7070: 2016 contributes to identifying the organizational needs of the Department to measure its performance. Also, he clarified that exchanging meetings enhance the various cooperation relations and accelerates the development processes of the work system and finding outputs that serve all parties to improve the levels of service provided to investors, which goes in line with Sharjah’s direction towards building a strong and solid economy characterized by knowledge and sustainability and enhances its competitiveness at the global level.
In addition, Al Ali explained that SEDD’s continued renewal of the ISO PAS 7070:2016 accreditation in the field of benchmarking management contributes to supporting the system of excellence and institutional development and raising the efficiency of strategic plans, in accordance with the best international practices. Such thing ensures the Department’s ability to respond flexibly and continuously to keep pace with any changes in the needs and expectations of customers and ensure the sustainability of results in all circumstances.
It is worth mentioning that benchmarking is an effective and continuous tool that relies on the principle of investing in best practices and applications in various fields, through exchanging experiences and knowledge, and comparing the performance and results of work in the Department with the performance and results of leading and similar organizations, to improve the level of performance, results, services and functional practices.
