In the compound bow – U12 boys, Moza Al Shamsi triumphed, securing gold, followed by Alia Al Shamsi with silver, and Shama Al Shamsi with bronze.
In the recurve bow – Women’s category, Sinehal Devkar displayed exceptional performance, winning the gold, with Fatima Al Bloushi taking silver and Maha Al Hosani winning bronze.
In the recurve bow – U18 girls, Widad Abdullah earned silver, and Muna Al Sarkal secured bronze.
In the compound bow – Women’s category, Amna Al Awadi continued her excellence, claiming the gold medal and affirming her dominance in the sport.
Elena Lapsina, the technical director of archery at Sharjah Women's Sports Club, praised the consistency of most athletes in training and performance, reflecting their ability to manage competition nerves while adhering to training guidelines. This stability strengthens the confidence of the coaching staff in the players' potential for future success.
Lapsina also noted that the team follows a rigorous training schedule of six sessions a week, including two morning sessions before their academic commitments, highlighting the athletes' discipline and dedication. She concluded by stating, "Our club is fully committed to supporting our athletes, ensuring their continued growth and success, which reflects the rising stature of women’s sports in the UAE, both locally and internationally."
These achievements underscore the commitment of the Sharjah Women’s Sports Foundation and the participating clubs to advancing archery and supporting female athletes of all ages. The clubs are working towards more training programmes and camps in preparation for upcoming international competitions, aiming to represent the UAE with pride on the global sports stage.
