Yasser Al Dokhi: Sharjah Tour starts from Al Majaz Amphitheatre

Sharjah 24: Dr. Yasser Al Dokhi, Director of the Sharjah International Cycling Tour, expressed his excitement for the launch of the tenth edition of the tour, held under the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. The event commenced from Al Majaz Amphitheatre in Sharjah City, extending all the way to Kalba in the Hanging Gardens.

Event details and stages

Al Dokhi expressed gratitude towards Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman, Chairman of the Ruler’s Office, for witnessing the start of the event. The first stage of the tour covered 132.91 km of the total 526.26 km across all stages. The tour has 174 participants from 29 teams and national teams representing 23 countries.

The second stage will start on Saturday from the wheat farm in Mleiha and end at the University of Dhaid. The third stage will start and end at the American University of Sharjah in Sharjah’s University City, while the fourth stage begins in Kalba, concluding at Suhub Rest Area in Khorfakkan, and the final stage will start in the Heritage Village in Al Hamriyah, finishing in Aljada, Sharjah.
