SHRD participates in Alumni Conference and Career Fair

Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Human Resources Department (SHRD) participated in organizing the career fair alongside the inaugural international alumni conference, hosted by the University of Sharjah at the University City Hall from January 22 to 23, 2025. The conference, themed "Enhancing Employment in the Era of Artificial Intelligence," aimed to equip graduates with the tools to navigate the evolving job market amid rapid digital transformation.

The career fair featured participation from both government and private organizations across various sectors, offering a wide range of job and training opportunities. These opportunities were designed to meet the current and future needs of the labor market.

Emphasising national talent development

Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi, a member of the Sharjah Executive Council and chairman of SHRD, highlighted the department’s commitment to cultivating national talent that aligns with labor market demands. He emphasized Sharjah’s leadership vision of fostering a forward-thinking, innovative society. Collaboration with academic institutions and employers is key to empowering graduates and helping them adapt to the digital era.

Workshops for future employment skills

The fair also included workshops and introductory sessions focused on developing skills necessary for digital transformation. These sessions offered graduates a valuable opportunity to interact directly with participating organizations, gaining insights and expertise for their future careers.
