Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation (SSEF) arranged a hiking trip to Al Bithnah in Fujairah, featuring 167 participants, which included orphans, their mothers, and SSEF staff. The event, organised in partnership with the ATC Adventures Team, sought to cultivate social connections, improve psychological well-being, and encourage recreation and fitness among participants in a tranquil, natural environment.

A well-organised experience in nature

SSEF prioritised the participants’ comfort and safety by fostering an enjoyable and secure experience. The group ventured into the breathtaking landscapes of Al Bithnah, participating in physical and recreational activities that promoted teamwork and camaraderie.

Promoting positive impact

Nawal Al Hamadi, director of social welfare at SSEF, emphasised the advantages of the initiative, stating, "This activity supports social interaction, teamwork, and the physical and mental well-being of our participants." Hiking offers orphans an opportunity to enhance their confidence, alleviate stress, and cultivate a sense of belonging and self-worth, all while nurturing creativity and inspiration. She expressed appreciation for the partnership with ATC Adventures and conveyed her gratitude to the participants for their enthusiasm and dedication.

Commitment to empowerment and well-being

SSEF is committed to organising initiatives that improve the quality of life and the overall well-being of its beneficiaries, in line with its mission to achieve sustainable empowerment for orphans and their families.
