Dibba Al-Hisn FC launches Talents Football Tournament

Sharjah24: Dibba Al-Hisn Football Club has kicked off its Talents Football Tournament, catering to children born between 2014 and 2017. The event, held in an energetic sporting atmosphere, witnessed enthusiastic participation from players' families and a significant audience turnout.

The tournament aims at promoting community sports and discovering young football talents. It aligns with the club's commitment to fostering purposeful sports activities in the city of Dibba Al-Hisn.  

The opening ceremony, held last evening, was attended by prominent figures, including H.E. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Tarban Al-Hamoudi, Chairman of Dibba Al-Hisn Football Club, H.E. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Mutawa, Chairman of Dibba Al-Hisn Sports and Cultural Club, H.E. Brigadier Ali Mohammed Al-Hamoudi, Director General of the Eastern Region Police, and Saeed Al-Ajil, Vice President of the UAE Sports for All Federation. Several board members and distinguished guests from the city were also present.  

The ceremony began with the UAE national anthem, followed by a speech delivered by H.E. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Tarban Al-Hamoudi, who highlighted the significance of the tournament as a valuable platform that brings together future football stars in an educational and entertaining sporting environment.  

He emphasised the tournament's noble objectives, such as providing children with constructive activities, discovering young football talents, and nurturing their skills. Al-Hamoudi reiterated the club's dedication to supporting young age groups through sports programmes aligned with the Sharjah Sports Council’s vision to encourage children and youth to engage in football, fostering teamwork, creativity, and fair competition.  

The tournament opened with four thrilling matches between the participating teams. The teams demonstrated exceptional preparation, showcasing glimpses of talent that hint at a promising future for these young players.  

The tournament will run until Tuesday, January 28, culminating in a celebratory ceremony honouring the winners. This initiative underscores the importance of community-driven sports events and their role in nurturing talent and strengthening the local sports culture.
