Sharjah 24: Najla Al Shamsi, Chairperson of the Board of Directors at the Sharjah Chess and Culture Club for Sharjah Women, conveyed her gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his generous gesture in recognising the club's players, who attained remarkable achievements during the 2023–2024 season.

Outstanding accomplishments

Al Shamsi highlighted that the club has achieved several recent victories, gaining a total of 22 gold medals, 16 silver medals, and 6 bronze medals. The club also welcomed more than 91 new players, following verification of their chess skills.

Administrative and sustainability milestones

At the administrative level, the club won the Sharjah Sports Council's "Our Holiday is Different" competition, earned a certificate in integrated management, and won the sustainability award.
