The UAE Cycling Federation announced the appointment of Canadian coach Richard Wooles to be the technical director of the national teams during the coming period.
The coach will lead the national team for the first time during its participation in the Sharjah International Cycling Tour, which will start on January 24, before traveling with the team to participate in two Asian championships next February.
Coach Richard Wooles is considered one of the most famous coaches in the world and has a distinguished record as a player and coach, having previously won 29 medals in the World Cycling Championships and the Olympics.
On the coaching level, he was crowned the best Canadian coach 8 times, in addition to numerous awards from the Canadian Olympic Committee.
