Sharjah24: The Research Institute for Medical and Health Sciences (RIMHS) at the University of Sharjah (UOS) recently held its annual research project exhibition, Your Gateway to Research-2025. The event showcased 71 research posters that present the key topics and ongoing projects conducted by various research groups at the institute and the significant scientific outcomes and indicators achieved by these research groups thus far. The exhibition included rich discussions and scientific debates, providing attendees with a platform to exchange ideas and insights across diverse scientific and medical fields.
The event was attended by Prof. Maamar Bettayeb, Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Studies; Prof. Qutayba Hamid, Vice Chancellor for Medical and Health Sciences Colleges; Prof. Rabih Halwani, Director of the Institute; as well as many faculty members, researchers, and students from the University’s medical colleges.
The exhibition featured research projects led by graduate students and faculty members. These projects tackled critical issues in scientific and medical research, including public health promotion and safety, and groundbreaking discoveries in environmental and health sciences. The research posters and presentations offered fresh perspectives for learning and idea-generation.
During the event, each research group highlighted the main activities of their laboratories and shared unique findings, showcasing diverse techniques, including simulation models and experimental designs. The event concluded with the recognition of the best two booths and the top four research posters, selected based on audience votes and evaluations by a panel of expert judges.
