Mariam Makhlouf: Khorfakkan Theatrical Festival starts Saturday

Sharjah 24: Saturday, at Khorfakkan Park, close to the Resistance Monument, will be the site of the tenth edition of the Khorfakkan Theatrical Festival, according to Mariam Makhlouf, a member of the festival's organising committee.

Variety of performances throughout the day

Performances at the festival, the major annual event in the world of theatre, will take place from 12 noon till midnight. Makhlouf reports that the programme showcases a diverse range of performances, such as school theatre productions, traditional folk arts like “Al Ayala,” and a play by director Mohammed Abdullah named "The Guest," which made its debut at the Kalba Short Plays Festival.

Engaging competitions and activities

Enjoyable contests for kids and their families abound throughout the festival, such as "Festival Princess" for the most elegantly dressed girls, "Create Your Mask" for the most original disguise, and "Best Car in the Festival."

Makhlouf emphasised that the festival offers participants a unique opportunity to explore diverse cultures through innovative performances.
