Sharjah24: As part of the 21st edition of the Sharjah Arab Poetry Festival, the fifth poetry evening took place at the Sharjah Cultural Palace. Poets carried their dreams and visions , including Mohammed Ibrahim Yaqub (Saudi Arabia), Saad Mohammed (Iraq), Mohammed Arab Saleh (Egypt), Ahmed Sheikhna Kabad (Mauritania), Wakil Al-Haj Abdul Salam (Niger), and Amal Al-Sahlawi (UAE). The evening was hosted by Sudanese media personality Ibtihaal Treiter.
The event was attended by His Excellency Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Owais, Chairman of the Department of Culture in Sharjah, Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Qusair, Director of the Cultural Affairs Department, poet Mohammed Al-Breiki, Director of the House of Poetry, and a large audience of poets, intellectuals, and academics from the UAE and the Arab world.
Poets present their utmost creativity in the world of poetry, reflecting their high skills in crafting verses armed with a high level of Arabic vocabulary. Poets from different Arab countries express their deep feelings of love, humanity, and loyalty."
At the end of the evening, His Excellency Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Owais, Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Qusair, and poet Mohammed Al-Breiki, Director of the House of Poetry, honored the participating poets with certificates of appreciation in recognition of their outstanding readings that touched the hearts of their audience.
