Bahrain national team wins Arabian Gulf Cup for the second time

Sharjah 24: The Bahraini national team secured its second Arabian Gulf Cup title after defeating Oman 2-1 in the final match today, held at Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Stadium in Kuwait.

The Omani national team took the lead in the 17th minute with a goal from Abdulrahman Al-Mushafri. However, Bahrain equalized in the 78th minute, thanks to a penalty from Mohammed Marhoon.

Just two minutes later, in the 80th minute, Mohammed Al-Musalmi of Oman scored an own goal, giving Bahrain the lead and ultimately securing their victory. This marks Bahrain’s second win in the Arabian Gulf Cup, with their first title coming in 2019.
