Dibba Al Hisn Club gears up for 2nd Annual Festival in Feb 2025

Sharjah 24: As part of its commitment to reinforcing national identity values and strengthening social and cultural ties within the community, Dibba Al Hisn Sports and Cultural Club is preparing to launch the second edition of its annual sports festival, under the patronage of the Sharjah Sports Council. The event will take place in February 2025, with widespread participation from various government departments and institutions in Dibba Al Hisn.

Preparations for the festival have already begun in earnest, with the first meeting of the organising committee held yesterday evening at the club's headquarters, chaired by Mohammed Abdullah Al-Zuhouri, Vice President of the Organising Committee. The meeting was attended by several committee members, as well as Dr. Wafa Al-Ghoul, Director of Diba Al-Hisn Office at the Department of Culture, who represents a key strategic partner in this major event.

Discussions and Planning:

The initial meeting focused on discussing the concepts and objectives of the festival, ensuring it aligns with the club’s vision and strengthens its role as a cultural and sports platform that bridges communication among community members. Attendees emphasised the importance of preparing innovative and inclusive programs and activities that would make the festival an exceptional event, reflecting the club’s stature and the Sharjah Sports Council’s mission to develop both sports and culture in the Emirate.

The discussions also covered the festival’s implementation plan, which will feature a diverse range of sports, entertainment, and artistic activities targeting all segments of the community. Special attention will be given to developing creative programs that promote national identity awareness and instill cultural and sporting values among youth.

Meanwhile, Dr. Wafa Al-Ghoul emphasised the significance of the strategic partnership between cultural and sports institutions in achieving shared developmental goals.
