At the closing ceremony, Amina Mohammed, the director of training, research, and events at Ruwad, recognised the student groups that emerged victorious. Three groups of primary school students (ages 10-15) received awards: Mini Makers, The Last Chapter, and Be Creative in Sharjah.
Furthermore, we acknowledged Aware, Step, and YumYum, three groups of secondary school and university students (ages 16-21). We awarded certificates of appreciation to all participating groups for their active involvement in the event.
Amina Mohammed commended the student groups involved for their creativity and innovation in showcasing their entrepreneurial projects. She emphasised the initiative’s significance in fostering a culture of entrepreneurship, providing students with practical experience in the business realm, and equipping them to launch successful ventures that benefit their communities and the national economy. She expressed her appreciation to all supporting entities, including the Sharjah Suburb Affairs Department, participating members, the organising and evaluation committees, and visitors who showed great interest in the students' products.
The initiative achieved a total project revenue of AED 179,224 during the event, resulting in cumulative revenues of AED 820,308 since 2018.
This year's edition included 12 workshops focused on training and entertainment, captivating children and student visitors with activities like flower arranging, gift wrapping, candle painting, fabric crafting, pizza making, and others.
The event highlighted 40 student entrepreneurial projects featuring 80 students from different schools, universities, and colleges throughout the UAE, reinforcing its dedication to nurturing innovation and entrepreneurial skills in the younger generation.
