Sharjah 24: His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz Al Muhairi, Chairman of Sharjah Healthcare City, announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Sharjah Healthcare City and Thumbay Group to establish Thumbay Psychiatric and Rehabilitation Hospital. With a total capacity of 120 beds, the facility will be the largest of its kind in the region to provide world-class mental health and rehabilitation services.
His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz Al Muhairi confirmed in statements to “Sharjah 24” that the first phase of the project will include the provision of 60 beds with outpatient services, ensuring the provision of high-quality medical services that meet the needs of patients and contribute to enhancing mental health care in the region.
The hospital will also include integrated facilities including a clinic, sports facilities, and a mosque attached to the hospital, to provide a comprehensive experience that contributes to rehabilitating patients and improving their quality of life.
Al Muhairi added that the project reflects Sharjah Healthcare City’s commitment to supporting initiatives that enhance Sharjah’s position as a leading centre for providing integrated and specialised health services.
