SSC concludes German expert’s archery camp

Sharjah 24: Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) concluded the one-week Sharjah Clubs’s camp for archery coaches and players, attended by German expert "Martin Friedrich".

The German expert is one of the most distinguished experts in the game in the world, and lectured in the camp at SSC special invitation.

The camp activities included 10 theoretical lectures and 5 practical lectures attended by 10 trainers from the emirate's clubs in addition to the players, and the desired goals were achieved.

Visits were also made to Sharjah Sports Club, Al Bataeh, Al Hamriyah, Khorfakkan Sports Club, Al Madam and Sharjah Women's Sports Foundation, amidst great interaction from the course participants.

The German expert was also honoured at SSC headquarters, in the presence of His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Council, who thanked him for the distinguished work, reflecting the keenness of the Council to exchange expertise with external parties and game experts to develop the game in the emirate.

Friedrich also praised the wonderful infrastructure that distinguishes the emirate's clubs and the great interest in developing the training personnel and levels of archery players at Sharjah Sports Club, Khorfakkan, Al Hamriyah, Al Bataeh, Dibba Al Hisn, Al Madam and Mleiha.

On the last day of the camp, certificates were distributed to the participating trainers.

Mohammed Obaid Al Hossan, Director of the Sports Affairs and Development Department, pointed out that the training camp was important for the coaches and players who benefited from the German expert, which confirms the great interest of the Council in providing all opportunities that always contribute to developing the capabilities of coaches and players and lead to achieving the highest goals and achieving championships and accomplishments in the name of the emirate.
