Sharjah24: Artist Samir Jobran from the renowned Trio Jibran expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Emirate of Sharjah for inviting them to perform at the Flag Island stage. This evening promises a beautiful blend of musical tradition and modernity.
In an interview with Sharjah 24, Jobran conveyed his joy at being able to bring their music to Sharjah, thanking Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi and the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq). He hopes that the audience will enjoy their artistic performance.
Jobran shared that this concert marks their first in Sharjah following their celebration in Paris, commemorating 20 years since the band’s founding. In this cultural capital, they are excited to share a piece of Palestine and their identity, striving to convey their culture to the world. He emphasised the need to defend their humanity and culture amidst the challenges faced by the Palestinian people and the region. Jobran urged a shift from the narrative of victimhood and heroism towards a greater focus on humanity, elevating culture and the arts.
