Sharjah 24: The Cultural and Community Committee of Dibba Al Hisn Sports and Cultural Club held its regular meeting, on Thursday, at the club's premises, chaired by Ahmed Abdullah Al Naqbi, Vice Chairman of the Committee and Head of the Strategic Planning and Institutional Excellence Committee, with the attendance of committee members.
During the meeting, a number of important topics related to cultural and social activities were discussed, along with a review of the recommendations made in the previous meeting. The meeting began with a review of the concepts and plans that have been implemented as part of the sustainability initiatives launched by the club in recent months.

The discussion included how to further enhance these initiatives to achieve a long-term impact on the community, as well as a review of events organised in November, which received wide participation and significant interest from club members and the community.

The meeting also touched on several activities that the club plans to organise in the near future, most notably participation in the Dawahi Festival to be held in Sharjah. Preparations for this participation were discussed, including organisational arrangements and identifying contributions that the club will make to this major event, aiming to enhance cultural and social communication with various institutions and communities in Sharjah.

Among the events discussed was the idea of organising an Arabic calligraphy competition in celebration of World Arabic Language Day, which is celebrated on December 18 each year. Committee members praised the importance of this competition in raising community awareness about the significance of the Arabic language and its arts, as well as encouraging youth to learn and develop their Arabic calligraphy skills.

The topic of the 17th annual cultural competition organised by the club was also addressed; this competition is one of the most prominent cultural events anticipated by the local community. Discussions included amendments and innovations that will be introduced to this competition, along with an emphasis on enhancing participation from diverse community segments in this event, aligning with the club's vision to promote culture and education in the region.

In a statement during the meeting, Ahmed Al Naqbi said: "At Dibba Al Hisn Club, we are keen on providing cultural and community activities that enhance communication between different groups in society and contribute to spreading awareness of cultural and social values. We continuously strive to improve and develop our initiatives to ensure their sustainability and achieve a positive impact on future generations."

For their part, committee members affirmed the importance of continued collaboration among various entities in organising community events, noting that these activities are not only aimed at stimulating cultural activity but also at achieving the club's strategic goals in serving and developing the community in all aspects.

At the end of the meeting, there was a reaffirmation of the need for continuous follow-up on the actual implementation of various initiatives, along with full readiness to organise upcoming events that will be announced soon, contributing to achieving the club's vision of being a leading cultural and social centre in the region.
